		<description>To The Minister

I am writing to you today to urge you to consider the following in a
serious and urgent way....

Australia and America have actively been undermining the climate
change negotiations for Copenhagen to get the weakest possible targets
at COP15. This is not because we don&#039;t understand the global warming
science. It is because our democracy has failed through our own apathy
and laziness. We have become greedy and self centred, we blame our
politicians when we should be blaming ourselves. This has blinded us
to the realities and struggles of the world and has blackened our
hearts and minds.

We can no longer be trusted to make decisions that will lead to a fair
and reasonable outcome for all who share the planet. A few countries,
like Australia and America, should not be allowed to hold the rest of
the world at ransom just to satisfy a greedy few.

For these reasons I hope you can raise the idea of strong sanctions at
COP15 against countries such as Australia, America and any other
countries who refuse to set proper targets. These sanctions could
include:

- Forcing us to get visas before we can travel to your countries with
lengthy delays before the visa is issued.
- Imposing travel restrictions within your countries
- Imposing a carbon tax on visitors to your countries
- Refusing to repay your dept to the world bank and using this money
to build renewable energy plants.

Others could include trade sanctions, business sanctions, military and
intelligence sanctions and financial sanctions.

While in the short term this may cause some pain to your countries, in
the long term it may well save your people and yourselves. I implore
you to use wisdom and vision to set targets at COP15...the fate of
life on earth will depend on it. This is your time in history to hold
your head high and fight the biggest fight in the history of the
world. You must win because there are no second chances. It is my
belief that everybody has a responsibility to the planet. Australia

and America are avoiding their responsibilities.

I am a proud Australian but I also love the planet, its people, its
diversity and its beauty. It&#039;s worth fighting for.

Good Luck
